Connection and Compassion When It's Needed Most
We started Zach’s Bridge based on our lived experience of losing our son, Zach, to cancer when he was 16 in 2021. We recognized a gap in the continuum of care in the profound lack of peer support for parents and caregivers facing their child’s late-stage cancer or bereavement. So we decided to change that.
Zach’s Bridge launched in early 2023, and as of April 10, 2026, we have helped 74 individuals and have 27 trained peer mentors; we are represented in 25 states and 4 countries. But we are just getting started, and look forward to collaborating to normalize the conversation about loss and grief and deliver a unique offering to help overcome isolation, pain, anger, and so much more for those who haven’t had support like this.
